For the past 8+ years, I have worked at the intersection of customer experience research, product design, and business strategy— predominately working to design transportation systems and places that encourage more sustainable behaviors.
Seeking to understand the needs of all stakeholders and customers, I help organizations navigate towards systemic and sustainable (environmental and financial) growth.

Measuring the impact of street transformation pop-up projects
Design Associate, with NACTO’s Global Designing Cities Initiative, 2020
Context
On a small team at NACTO-GDCI, I had the opportunity to create this handbook for the Bloomberg Initiative for Global Road Safety program.
This resource breaks down the data collection, analysis, and communication processes necessary for a well-documented street transformation project. We were conscientious to design this handbook in a way that is approachable for city staff, community leaders and designers around the world, and had an extensive peer review process with the staff whom we hope will benefit from it most, as well as from peer experts from partner organizations.
Contributions
I was the only designer on this poject team responsible for producing all layouts and graphics. I also played a heavy role in crafting the flow and voice of the handbook, under the guidance of our leadership team, to ensure that their visions and experiences were strongly embedded in the handbook’s guidance.
Since this design process was so inclusive, our workflow was quite iterative and we circled through as many validation loops as we needed to reach diminishing returns in the feedback we were getting from city officials and urban design practitioners around the world.
Here are a few sample slides from the handbook:
Capabilities
Visual communication design | Urban design for all ages and abilities | Making the case for safety| Measuring & evaluating impact
Outcomes
Data that clearly proves impact is the most essential component of a proposal for further investment. This handbook is now being used in trainings with city staff around the world, hosted by GDCI as well as by individuals who have downloaded the free resource for their own needs (available for free download here).
